ENISA chooses Logitel for AV and collaboration infrastructure in renovated Athens HQ
ENISA (European Network and Information Security Agency)
The objective of ENISA is to improve network and information security in the European Union. The agency contributes to the development of a culture of network and information security for the benefit of citizens, consumers, enterprises and public-sector organizations of the European Union, and thus consequently also contributes to the smooth operation of the EU.
ENISA has its headquarters in Heraklion on the island of Crete but in 2013 it was decided to relocate about one-third of its staff to Athens’ liaison office in Marousi. Following relocation, the organization took up the renovation of its offices with a mind on creating a workspace that would not only host staff members on their daily tasks but also provide modern and flexible collaboration and event spaces for ENISA’s various research, educational, and outreach programs.
The main requirements set by ENISA were that all new audio-visual and collaboration equipment and systems should accommodate flexible room layouts and that the widest possible range of interoperability should be achieved.
Logitel proposed and delivered a comprehensive solution featuring wireless technologies for audio as well as collaboration, content and presentation sharing. Remote collaboration capabilities were facilitated by adopting vendor agnostic, software-based audio and video conferencing. High Definition projectors and large format touch displays made for a superior visual experience. And lastly, but not least, all systems were set up, monitored, and managed on an integrated building/system automation platform providing IT and Facilities’ staff with an indispensible and easy to use tool for the daily operation and maintenance of an admittedly complex array of technology infrastructure.
The solution has been now in full operation for two years and already Logitel’s open architecture and standards-based designs have already proven solid as ENISA’s growing and changing needs are being met successfully and as new technological tools are introduced and easily integrated within existing infrastructure, thus making the most of the organizations’ investment.
