Alfa Pastry is a success story like no other. From humble beginnings at founder Mr. Koukoutaris’ hometown of Kozani, a picturesque small town in Greece’s northern district of Macedonia, to exports throughout Europe, North America, and Australia, Alfa’s products are infused with a rustic, homemade goodness that defines traditional, Greek countryside baking. Alfa Pastry has seen great development and rapid expansion into new markets over the years, with new locations production facilities and sales offices opening up both in-country as well as internationally.

As with many family-run businesses, Alfa attributes much of its success on people and their relationships, whether employees, suppliers, or sales and retail partners everyone should be considered as well as feel like an extended family member. Encouraging and nurturing close relationships and teamwork is one of management’s top priorities. However, with Alfa’s rapid growth and sprawling facilities and points of presence, bringing distributed team members together became somewhat of a challenge.

Although Alfa also examined other leading vendors Polycom was the one that provided such ease of use and quality of experience, both audio and video, that made day-to-day video conferencing as easy and natural as water cooler meetings or lunch breaks.

After, integrating Polycom RealPresence Group series systems in most of their main meeting rooms Alfa is also rolling out Polycom RealPresence Trio in smaller meeting spaces and huddle rooms, and together with Skype for Business from Microsoft have become that most indispensable communication and collaboration tools from the growing company.
